Crossfire: Legion - UGC Map Editor
Designing a Complex System for Internal and External Audiences.
In 2019, I joined the Crossfire: Legion team to redesign the internal level-design tool. This was to be released as a map editor for a crucial part of the RTS game: the user-generated content (UGC).
Crossfire: Legion is a RTX (Real-time Strategy) game taking place in the world of SmileGate’s IP Crossfire.

Frustrated Dev: Tool not Usable 😕
When I started this mission, I conducted several interviews within the team, collecting feedback from level designers and environment artists.
By analyzing their pain points using the UGC tool to create playable content, and researching into outstanding UGC tools such as Dota’s level editor, I redesigned the UI/UX in Figma, then implemented the UI in Unity.
