Longhouse 5.0
Longhouse 5.0 is a VR experience designed and developed for educational purposes. It features digital replicas of indigenous villages and agricultural practices in a navigable virtual world, created using Unreal Engine 4.
My Role: Unreal Developer, VR DeveloperProject Timeline: 2021-2022
In this project, my responsibilities included:
- Optimizing all assets, primarily foliage, for VR compatibility.
- Developing an item inspection system with cel-shading highlights and UMG UI panels, displaying information at key points of interest
- Making the village and the Three Sisters fields navigable, and creating seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor maps.
- Implementing customized Oculus controller interactions.
- Optimizing the experience for both Oculus headsets and PC platforms.
